Frequently Asked Questions
Is there an option to try coaching out to see if it’s for me?
Yes! Check out our 1 month introductory offer to see if we’re a good fit. We can also answer any questions you may have during a discovery call. Schedule a 30 minute discovery call to personally go over potential barriers to entry.
Is Apricus a psychedelic coaching company?
Yes and no. We are well versed in using psychedelics as tools to generate insight and change in our lives, and we can absolutely help prepare you for ceremonies and journeys with plant medicine. But if you are not interested in psychedelics, they will not be a part of your coaching blueprint whatsoever!
Do you offer business coaching?
Whether you have an established business you’re trying to scale or it’s still just an idea in your head, we can absolutely help you create and implement a business plan for growth. Our founder is experienced with the entire life cycle of LLCs and 501(c)(3)s, to include their establishment, operation, scaling, and the process of selling them successfully. Schedule a 30 minute discovery call to personally go over potential barriers to entry.
Do you offer group or couples coaching?
This can be done on a case by case basis, but requires a discovery call first to see if it is a good fit.
Can families share coaching sessions?
Yes! Families can share the sessions from packages that are purchased, but nothing will be discussed with family members regarding what happened in another family member’s personal session.
What is the difference between coaching and counseling?
Coaching and counseling serve different purposes and operate under distinct frameworks. Coaching is not regulated by legislation and does not require a license. It is a holistic, direct-experience-based practice that forms an equal partnership between coach and client.
The focus is on setting goals, addressing weaknesses and roadblocks, mapping out a path forward, and using adaptive tools to help clients incorporate the gentle discipline required to reach the next level in life on their terms. Coaching is focused on the here and now, with an emphasis on personal growth and accountability in order to achieve desired outcomes in each of the four pillars of Apricus.
In contrast, professional counseling is regulated by legislation, requires a license, and follows strict rules and guidelines. Counselors have formal training in psychology and can take on a more authoritative role, using medical manuals and clinical regulatory works to diagnose and treat patients.
Do you employ licensed therapists?
No, at this point in time, Apricus does not employ licensed therapists but that may change in the future.
What is the recommended coaching frequency?
We usually start coaching more frequently with one to two sessions per week and then we gradually begin to space out our sessions more once we are on the right track. Ideally, we move to monthly or bi-monthly sessions to address particular concerns or conduct ‘vector checks’ that confirm progress, reveal blindspots, or provide additional clarity when needed.
Can I just have an Ancestral Campfire Community membership or do I have to do coaching as well?
You can choose to just be a part of our Ancestral Campfire Community, which is also included in all coaching packages.
What does the Ancestral Campfire Community really do?
This is a members only portion of our site that meets as a group weekly on a volunteer basis and discusses the four pillars of Apricus on a rotating schedule. There are guest speakers, lectures, peer support forums, a book nook for suggested readings and discussions, as well as dedicated resource pages for all members.
